Sweet little thingz II

EN: Fresh, feminine and soft are probably the words I’d choose to describe this beautiful skirt. It’s made by Andreea Mertoiu, the awesome genius behind the cherry printed skirt I showed you about a month ago. Remember? Not only did she make me look beautiful in these two handmade garments, but she also designed the white crinoline you can see me showing off in that last photo. I like my circle midis puffy so anything that can be added to fluff out the skirts gets extra points (at least in my book). The problem with these crinolines, petticoats, tutus, whatever you wanna call them, is 1) they are pretty hard to find (especially the vintage ones, and especially where I live), and 2) they never seem to have the right length or the right amount of puffiness. If you remember the purple vintage one I have, which is absolutely fabulous in all its fluffy glory, then you probably noticed that it has a “problem”. It’s too big. It’s fabulous but big. So big that I cannot wear it on a normal day and definitely not in this country. That’s why I asked Andreea to design me a smaller crinoline, with just the right amount of puffiness, to wear it on a daily basis. 

And I think it turned better than I expected :)

 EN: Let me start by saying that I am by no means a sporty person. I detest almost any form of physical activity, I don’t wear sport gear, I don’t own any training shoes and I’m pretty much a vegetable. I’m the girl who never went (ok, maybe I went two or three times) to high school gym classes. I’m the girl who would rather wait 10 minutes for the elevator than do the stairs. I’m the girl who used to go to McDonalds after a gym workout. Yep, that’s me. And yes, I know it’s not good for my health. 

With that being said, it’s no surprise that my friends were a bit perplexed when they saw me wearing something that resembles training pants (for the record, these aren’t training pants). I bought them a few months ago from Topshop and despite their sporty look, I quite like them. The fabric is soft, almost silky and they are super comfortable! I already wore them with sandals and pumps and they are more versatile than you may think. 

Also, debuting on the blog the glittery H&M shoes I showed you a while ago in this post. Still can’t believe how comfortable they are, even after walking miles in them! 

RO: Eram in curtea facultatii cand o colega mi-a spus: “Woa, nu credeam ca esti tu! Te-am vazut de la spate si ma uitam cam asa… /:) pantaloni de trening?!?! N-are cum sa fie ea!” 

Si adevarul e ca nu prea sunt eu. Unu ca-s pantaloni si doi, nu numai ca-s pantaloni dar par a fi de trening (nu sunt, in realitate materialul e unul pretentios si fin). Iar eu numai sportiva nu sunt. Defapt, sunt genul de om care prefera sa ia liftul pan’ la 4 (stau la 3) si sa coboare un etaj decat sa urce trei. Cica mi-am facut si abonament la sala candva. De doua ori defapt in toata viata, la interval de cativa ani. Si asta la insistentele unei prietene careia ii era urat sa mearga singura – dupa care ma duceam la mec si imi consolam suferinta musculara cu Mc Sundae de caramel. Productiv, na. 

Revenind la înveşmânteală. Cu ocazia asta debutez pe blog si sclipiciosii de la H&M (ca tot m-ati certat ca nu v-am aratat neşte chestii). Dubios tare dar nu m-au killărit. Si chiar am mers mult pe jos cu ei! Nu la toc ma refer cu killăreala dar materialul e clar sintetic iar forma usor ascutita = bataturi. Pe de alta parte, mai am unii identici ca forma si toc (aia aurii, vi i-am aratat odata cu astia), tot de la H&M, care mi-au distrus picioarele. Dupa maxim doua ore de mers pe jos (ca tot ziceam de sport, probabil asta e singura mea forma de miscare constanta – merg mult pe jos). 

Also, ladies and gentlemans, I give youuuuuuuuuu…

I recently found four little baby kittens in the attic of my home and decided to keep them. Unfortunately one of them has died but the other ones are healthy and playful, especially this little lady.

EN: Apologies to my foreign readers for my lack of words and posts. Life is way too hectic at the moment but I promise I'll be back as soon as things get back to normal. 

And this is what i wore yesterday :) 

RO: Long time no see, indeed. Sunt inca aici, n-am capitulat. Poate doar temporar, pana ma eliberez de…diverse (cum ar fi licenta) iar lucrurile incep sa-si reia cursul firesc. Sunt la Buzau de saptamana trecuta – cu o mica excursie neprevazuta, inapoi la Bucuresti, de acum doua zile – timp pe care NU mi l-am petrecut vegetand si indopandu-ma (as usual), ci terciuindu-mi neuronii si asa in prag de scurt circuit, intru redactarea licentei. Palpitant, stiu. Sa nu cadeti de pe scaun. Daca ati fi vazut si cat de feşăn (una dintre expresiile mele preferate: fashion, alaturi de trendy si fashionistă) m-am purtat zilele astea, in jeansi si tricouri si balerini hidosi….. Nu, serios, e mai bine ca n-am postat. In magazine am mai fost, am avut grija sa-mi mentin portofelul suplu, anorexic chiar (ieri am cumparat un manechin. Nu stiu ce dracu fac cu el da’ l-am luat) si am primit si cateva lucruri frumoase. Pe langa o surpriza din tulle mov careia inca incerc sa-i dau de cap potriveala, am primit (mi-am ales adica), geanta asta cu flori. O gasiti aici, alaturi de multe alte modele din piele naturala (care chiar miroase a piele si se simte piele), frumoase si cochete, de toate formele si dimensiunile (ca sa am eu de ce ma da de ceasul mortii ca-s prea multe optiuni). Oscilam in alegere intre asta si cea inflorata pe care am luat-o pana la urma, modelul celei dintai fiind foarte asemanator cu cel mega popular de la Zara. Am preferat inflorata că e vesela, imprimata si tinereasca, in asentiment cu vremea si departe de orice papornite tocite mai am eu prin dulap. Multumiri Biancai pentru geanta, (si) eu (si maica mea, care vad ca atenteaza) sunt(em) foarte incantate de ea! 

Ieri am reusit performanta de a iesi din casa imbracata intr-un ambalaj mai putin banal, intr-o rochie luata de curand pentru o suma derizorie, sandale colorate si inflorata la bratul stang. Frate-miu la ala drept. 

Ah, si mi-am luat pisici. 4. 

Da, altii. I-am gasit in pod.

EN: I’m telling you, the sole purpose of these evil people who create these amazing skirts is to spite me. And they do one hell of a job with that!

RO: Acum cateva zile imi spunea cineva in comentarii ca am foarte multe fuste (frumoase). Iar eu rezonam intru totul. Asa este, am multe, multe fuste, majoritatea de lungime medie si croite clos, pe care le port aproape zilnic. Le colectionez (mai ales pe cele vintage) si sunt obiectul de imbracaminte cel mai comun si mai iubit din toata garderoba mea.
